On May 15, in the hotel Cronwell Inn Stremyannaya was opened an international British-Russian exhibition «Changing Waves # Variations of the wave." We invite visitors to see works of contemporary artists, who miraculously lead us into the world of Aivazovsky masterpieces. The project, one of which participants is one of the leading UK marine artist Carla Jane Cassells, is demonstrated in Russia for the first time. The Scottish artist, graduate of Kingston University, is highly appreciated in the Foggy Albion. Her works can be found in private collections around the world. Carla Jane Cassells depicts in her works Cornwall, lapped by the English Channel and the Atlantic Ocean. "A distinctive feature of her works is a desire to give the audience a first impression of communication with the water element. All work she paint from nature ", - told organizers. Also at the exhibition will be shown paintings by Russian artists Ilya Ovsyannikov, Elmira Mustafina, Mary Aristova, Irina Dobronravova. Often in their works, water is inseparable from the image of the Venice of the North: Neva and its tributaries provide the romance of St. Petersburg during the White Nights, give birth to winter graphics of the city mood. The exhibition will be displayed at the hotel for the month and will end on June 15, 2015.
