On October’30 in the art space "Loft Project" the exhibition "Saint Sebastian: body language", dedicated to the World AIDS Day, will be opened. The event is social and will be held with the participation of the St. Petersburg State health agency “Center for Prevention and Control of AIDS and other infectious diseases”. We should note that hotel Cronwell Inn Stremyannaya also supported this action. The key idea of the project is devoted to the Holy Martyr Sebastian, one of the symbols of the Renaissance. On the exhibition “Saint Sebastian: the body language of" photos, image of the medieval martyr is transferred to our modern world. During the plague, faithful people were seeking help from Sebastian. Today, when of AIDS is recognized to be a new "plague" epidemic, the exhibition draws parallels between past and present. Arrows, which pierced the body of the martyr in the images of artists, are almost invisible in the photos, as well as immunodeficiency virus. As part of the club-museum "History Stremyannaya street" work, the hotel regularly hosts exhibitions, musical evenings, festivals of traditional cuisine.
